NHS England have confirmed that GP surgeries can observe the bank holiday on Monday 19th September 2022 in order for staff and patients to pay their last respects to HM Queen Elizabeth II.
We are in the process of contacting any patients who had pre-booked appointments in for Monday to re-arrange. If your prescription is due on Monday we will be amended this so that you will be able to collect this on Friday as some Pharmacies are also closed.
Anyone who requires same day access on Monday 19th September, should ring the surgery number as normal and you will be redirected to GP Care Wakefield.
We are anticipating that Tuesday after the bank holiday will be busy, can we please ask patients that if your call is not urgent you ring later in the week as our phone lines will be busy.
Any COVID vaccination clinics running that day will still go ahead as planned.
