Homestead Medical Centre

Young people friendly

Homestead Medical Centre is currently working with Wakefield Youth Association to achieve the “Young Person Friendly Accreditation” We want our young people to feel comfortable when they attend the surgery and to feel reassured that their privacy will be respected at all times. If you have any suggestions on how the practice can improve our services for young people we would love to hear from you.

Confidentiality

The duty of confidentiality owed to a person under 16 is as great as the duty owed to any other person. The practice has a confidentiality policy in place which all staff adhere to. There is a section on confidentiality within our practice leaflet and notices are also on display the waiting room.

Online Services

We know that our younger population much prefer to do things the electronic way but not many are aware that they can register for online access at the surgery. By registering for online services you can book or cancel an appointment at any time of day, you can also order your repeat prescriptions online too. Click here to apply for Online Access

For further information call in at reception who will be able to arrange this for you or call 01924 384498.
