Homestead Medical Centre

Repeat prescriptions

You can order your prescription in online (NHS APP or Systemone Online), or via our repeat telephone ordering line.

Our new direct Prescription ordering telephone line is 01924 663064 (this is a 24 hour direct telephone to the prescription ordering services, alternatively during surgery hours we have added this as option 2 on our telephone lines)

In order to use this you will require a 6 digit Pin which can be accessed by our reception team.

The telephone system will ask for your Date of birth, Pin and a registered telephone number which  you will have to dial into the phone. The message will then relay which of your prescription items are ready to order. Once selected the practice will then receive this via a task which is saved into your medical record. We will then begin to process your prescription as normal.

We will aim to process all repeat prescriptions within 24 working hours. If there is a safety issue this could take longer.

Registering to use the online prescription ordering service is quick and easy. Ask at reception. Log on by visiting SystemOnline or clicking the image below:

**From 1st November all patients now have access to view their medical records online via the NHS app or via Systemone online. If you are already have the NHS app to view your COVID pass you will now be able to use this to order your medications too. ***

Please note: from the 11th March 2020 all prescriptions will be sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice.  You can no longer collect prescriptions from the Surgery as the NHS is removing paper prescriptions from circulation.   Ordering medication can still be done in the same way.  We highly recommend signing up for Online Services.

Homestead’s Repeat Prescription Ordering Policy

The Practice no longer accepts repeat prescription requests from pharmacies on behalf of patients.  We are aware that the online pharmacy ‘Pharmacy 2U’ is currently mailing Wakefield residents advising of the services that they can provide.  Please note that our policy also applies to Pharmacy 2U and therefore if you choose to nominate Pharmacy 2U to dispense your medicines, you will still need to order your own prescription from the surgery.

Please be assured that the Practice has not provided Pharmacy 2U with your details and that we are not affiliated to them in any way.
